Compton Early College has earned the College Board AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science Principles. Schools honored with the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award have expanded young women’s access to AP computer science courses.

Schools receiving the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award have achieved either 50% or higher female representation in either or both of the AP computer science courses, or the percentage of female computer science examinees meets or exceeds that of the school’s female population.

Compton Early College (CEC) in partnership with Compton College is in its fifth year of operation. We are still celebrating our inaugural graduating class of 2019 and looking forward to building on their legacy. Established in 2015 as a senior high school, CEC has incorporated a middle school and spans from grade 6-12.  An early college's purpose is to provide students with an opportunity to earn an AA (Associates of Arts Degree) and/or IGETC (Intersegmental General Eduction Transfer Certificate) while also earning their high school diploma.
