Welcome

Compton Early College (CEC) in partnership with Compton College is in its fifth year of operation. We are still celebrating our inaugural graduating class of 2019 and looking forward to building on their legacy. Established in 2015 as a senior high school, CEC has incorporated a middle school and spans from grade 6-12.  An early college's purpose is to provide students with an opportunity to earn an AA (Associates of Arts Degree) and/or IGETC (Intersegmental General Eduction Transfer Certificate) while also earning their high school diploma.

Inside California Education, a KVIE public television series that explores challenges, issues, and stories in public education, visited Compton Early College and aired this report in May 2019.
